Multiple award-winning doll artist, Beverly Stoehr, will be creating the centerpiece dolls for our Mad Hatter’s Party.

 

Like most of us, Beverly began her love affair with dolls at an early age. But, it wasn’t until she had begun and run a successful ceramics business out of her home that she was drawn to porcelain doll making.  While in Oregon, she met master doll sculptor, Theo, who taught her the Hummel method of doll making and she studied with him for five years.  From there, she honed her skills under other European doll makers from whom she learned additional Old World techniques.

 

Over the years her dolls have been proudly featured by a number of companies including Effanbee, Danbury Mint, Lenox China, Charisma Brands, Marie Osmond Dolls, Masterpiece Dolls and the Alexander Doll Company as well as her own line, Beverly Stoehr Originals.  Over those same years, Beverly has received over fifty-five awards for her work including the Doty Award, the Diamond Award and the 2015 and 2016 Dolls of Excellence Awards.
